GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR 10th FOOD ANALYST EXAMINATION (10th FAE) 2024

  1. Application Submission:-
    • Applications must be submitted through online only. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be considered.
  2. Name Details:
    • Ensure that the first, middle, and last names are mentioned correctly.
    • The name on the registration form should match exactly with the name on academic and experience documents. No changes will be entertained post registration.
  3. Document Verification:
    • The name on academic and experience documents must match the registration form. If there is a change in the name, provide supporting documents (e.g., Marriage Certificate) during application submission.
    • All documents must be uploaded at the time of application. No further revisions or resubmissions will be accepted.
  4. Educational Qualification and Experience:
    • No relaxation in educational qualifications or experience is permissible.
    • Prescribed educational qualifications include scanned copies of original degree certificates or Provisional Degree Certificates (mark sheets will not be accepted).
    • Experience for the FAE should be no less than three years in food analysis at recognized institutions or research laboratories. Experience certificates should be in the prescribed format.
  5. Examination Fee:
    • The examination fee must be paid online. Fees submitted through any other modes will not be accepted.
    • Fees are non-refundable.
  6. Examination Centre:
    • Choice of examination centre is available in the online form, but centres may be changed based on availability and other considerations by FSSAI.
  7. Eligibility Criteria:
    • Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed in the advertisement for the 10th FAE 2024.
    • Experience will be calculated from the date of graduation until the closing date of application. Experience gained before or after this period, and during academic programmes (e.g., Post Graduate, Doctoral Programme), will not be considered.
  8. Pre-Qualified Junior Analysts:
    • Pre-qualified Junior Analysts with the requisite experience can directly appear for the Practical Examination one time.
  9. Application and Examination Process:
    • Submission of an application does not guarantee shortlisting or certification.
    • Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria. The FSSAI is not responsible for issues arising from inadequate qualifications or experience. Fees are non-refundable in such cases.
  10. Responsibility and Liability:
    • FSSAI is not responsible for any expenses incurred by candidates who qualifies the examination but do not meet the eligibility criteria.
    • All educational qualifications must be from recognized institutions.
  11. FSSAI Rights:
    • FSSAI reserves the right to call only those candidates deemed most suitable and to reject any or all applications without providing reasons.
    • The decision of FSSAI regarding eligibility, shortlisting, examination conduct, and certification is final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
    • Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
    • Admission to the examination is provisional. If any eligibility conditions are found unmet at a later stage, the candidature will be cancelled, and fees will be forfeited.
  12. Employment Disclaimer:
    • The examination does not guarantee employment with FSSAI.

General Instructions for applying 10th FAE Practical Examination 2024

  1. The following candidates are eligible for applying 10th FAE Practical Examination:
    • Candidates who have qualified the Computer Based Test of 10th FAE 2025.
    • Pre-qualified Junior Analyst possessing not less than 3 years of experience in analysis in Food.
  2. Applications are to be submitted only through online mode. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be considered.
  3. The first, middle and last name should be mentioned correctly. Candidates should ensure that the spelling of the name given in the registration form is correct as the certificate will be issued accordingly, no further request for change in name or spelling will be entertained after issuance of certificate.
  4. The name of the candidate mentioned in the experience documents (uploading during submitting application) should be same as given in application form. In case of any change in the name, sufficient supporting documents (eg: Marriage certificate) should be uploaded during the time of application, otherwise the candidature shall be cancelled.
  5. For FAE and JAE candidates, not less than three years’ experience in analysis of food is mandatory, for fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
  6. Experience of the candidate will be calculated only from the date of graduation (minimum academic qualification as prescribed for the FAE) till the closing date of application.
  7. The experience gained by the candidates before qualifying the minimum academic qualification as prescribed for the FAE and after the closing date of application will not be taken into consideration.
  8. Experience gained by the candidate during academic programme such as Post Graduate, Doctoral programme /SRF/JRF, etc will not be considered.
  9. Submission of documents at the time of application is considered to be final. Any further revisions or any requests with respect to resubmission of documents will not be entertained.
  10. No relaxation in the Educational Qualification and / or experience is permissible.
  11. Acceptance of the applications is subject to verification of Supporting documents submitted by the candidate. If documents wit Canvassing in any form will straight way disqualify the candidature.
  12. The examinations are not for providing employment by FSSAI.
  13. Respect to educational qualification and experience are found to be inadequate, the application will be rejected.
  14. The examination fee should be paid only for accepted applications for JAE qualified candidates.
  15. Examination fee is to be paid only through online mode. Fee submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.
  16. The examination fee for appearing in 10th FAE practical examination is ₹1000/-and has to be paid only by pre-qualified JAE candidates.
  17. There shall be no refund of fee at any stage. In case fee is paid for one application more than once, then excess fee will be refunded.
  18. Choice of examination centre is available in the online form. However, examination centre may be changed subject to the availability of the candidates for the respective examination centre.
  19. Examination centre will be assigned on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis to applicants.
  20. Mere submission of application/fulfilment of eligibility conditions will not confer any right on the candidate to be shortlisted/called for written test/ interview/issuance of certificate/job.
  21. All educational qualifications must have been obtained from recognized universities / Institutions in India or abroad.
  22. The “FSSAI” reserves the right to call for CBT/ Practical Exam only those candidates who in its opinion are most suitable for the certificate. The“FSSAI”also reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof. The decision of The “FSSAI” in all matters regarding eligibility, shortlisting of candidates, conduct of Practical Exam and issuance of certificate will be final and binding on the applicants and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  23. The “FSSAI” takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt in postal transit of certificates. The permanent address filled by the applicant will be considered for dispatch of the certificates after qualifying the practical examination of 10th FAE.
